Ingredients

1can fire roasted tomatoes14.5 oz can
1can petite diced tomatoes14.5 oz can
1can tomato sauce8 oz can
1cup sausage, choppedI use Hillshire farm smoked sausage.
6cups Water
1small cabbage head, finely chopped
1individual onion
1individual celery stalk
1tsp salt
1tsp garlic powder
1tsp dried parsley
2individual bay leaves
1tsp onion powder
1/2cup brown rice

Instructions

Chop onions, celery, and smoked sausage.
Chop cabbage into small strips.
Brown onions and celery in pot for 5 minutes or until golden brown.
Add in sausage and brown sausage for about 5 minutes.
Add the chopped cabbage and 2 tbsp water and stir until combined. Continue to stir. Let the cabbage cook for about 10-15 minutes or until soft.
Add the fire roasted tomatoes, tomato sauce, and petite diced tomatoes. Stir.
Add in seasonings. Cover. Cook for 30 minutes on medium-low heat.
Add in 1/2 cup of brown rice. Cook an additional 30 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
